Your Daily Giant 8/4/2013

Today's Daily Giant comes from the Jamestown Journal, April 8, 1859 pg 2. From the article,

"The skeleton of giant, eight feet high, has been exhumed from the farm of Mr. Colvin, near Monongehela City, Pa.-The Pittsburg Chronicle says: "From the position of the bones in the vault under the stone, it is supposed the bodies were buried in a sitting position, the skull bones and those of the trunk being all in a heap, while those of the legs were scattered along towards the foot of the vault. At the foot, also of many of these graves were found various articles of ornaments of exquisite workmanship, denoting a greater skill than usually belonged to the Indians, together with crockery and war-like implements. The graves in the vicinity number several hundred and go to show that the field was at one time an extensive burying ground."

One aspect of this phenomena that we haven't discussed much yet are giant tools and "war like implements" buried with these skeletons. Unlike the skeletons, many of these implements are still on display in museums but they are made to go away by calling them ceremonial. So you don't have to explain what kind of monster human could wield a 41 pound copper axe (found in the Ohio mounds) if it is considered ceremonial.

Many of these reports also describe normal sized skeletons existing with giant ones, making it even more difficult to believe they have been improperly measured. This is not the only giant skeleton exhumed in Monongahela City, Pa. nor is it the only one found buried in a stone vault. In 1885, American Antiquarian reported a seven foot two skeleton with a copper crown being found in a stone vault in a burial mound at Cartersville, Ga. The following was reported,

"On the stones which covered the vault were carved inscriptions and when deciphered, will doubtless lift the veil that now shrouds the history of the race of people that at one time inhabited this part of the American continent. The relics have been carefully packed and forwarded to the Smithsonian Institution and are said to be the most interesting collection ever found in the United States."

Tonight, I will be on the Micah Hanks show discussing giants. This topic is starting to gain more and more attention and I believe that when people get a look at all the evidence, many will be alarmed with the scope of it and quite annoyed with how skeptics and professionals dismiss this evidence.
